Move the mouse over the Z plane in the left. The pointer will indicate the place of the poles. To place real poles, move to the point you want to lock the real part and left click. Move the mouse while holding to position the second pole. The response of the system with those poles can be viewed in the plot to the right. For visual convenience, the response is always for a system with unitary gain.
